Do you accept insurance?
Insurance is not taken at this time, however, if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) you may use those funds. We also accept Care Credit.
What happens after my consultation?
After your consultation you will be emailed an intake form that includes medical releases inside. Dr. Bartemus will want your records from all doctors from the past seven years. Please fill out one form for each doctor with the specific office name and fax number.

Typically we will not need your chiropractic or your dental records unless it pertains to your case, before returning your paperwork give us a call to confirm.
Who is Vezendy Chiropractic and why did I get a receipt from them?
Functional Medicine Charlotte is a business inside Vezendy Chiropractic. Sometimes your receipts will be from Vezendy Chiropractic but your payment went too Functional Medicine Charlotte. If you have any questions, please call the office.
Do you do labs in house or send them out?
You will be sent out to one of the labs Dr. Bartemus partners with for your lab work.
What is the cost?
Your investment for your first 1 hour Initial Visit is $499, this is split into two payments. The first half due when you turn in your paperwork/medical releases, the second half is due at your first 1 hour appointment. This cost does not include the cost of the labs.
After you’ve completed your labs, once we receive all of the results we will get you scheduled for your second 1 hour appointment, the report of findings. The cost of the office visit for this appointment is $349, it does not include the plan of care.
How long will it take to get my records?
That is dependent on the individual office. For example, Novant Health will tell us they have 30 days to get your records to us. Sometimes they will move faster if you request them at the same time as we do, you can also help the process by adding “STAT” to your records. Typical turn around can be 2 weeks to 1 month.
I had my consult last year and I’ve decided to move forward, how can I get started?
Give us a call! If there has been no major medical changes, we may be able to proceed forward. As always, give us a call.
