A new (2023) study from Sweden reveals that many New-Onset cases of Atrial Fibrillation are associated with high uric acid levels.
Uric acid is a metabolite that is easy and inexpensive to test for in the blood. But it is not commonly run by cardiologists. Therefore, if your AFib is caused by high uric acid, they will miss it.
Make sure you have your doctor test your uric acid level.
